I’ve done four website rebuilds, two rebrands, and enough rearranging that I’m pretty sure I could find my way around the WordPress dashboard in my sleep. Whether I’d make good decisions while asleep is another question, but at this point I think I’ve earned the right to close a few tabs.
Starlight & Stories is finally complete, and I am so fucking excited to be here. There are still articles to write and shelves to fill, but the actual site is built. I can finally start sharing things instead of spending the entire evening deciding where those things are supposed to go.
This has been part of a much bigger project for me. Must-Haves with Autumn holds so many of my interests, and getting everything to work together has taken a lot of figuring things out, changing my mind, and occasionally arguing with a website. Seeing it come together now feels good, especially knowing how long some of these ideas have been sitting in my head.
A lot has changed around here
Along with the rebuilds and rebrands, I’ve been finding my voice again in how I share The Loaded Tea Shop and Celesty. I’ve updated my Facebook group and business page to match the new brand, and I’ve started building a genuine audience. That part means a lot to me. After putting so much time into all of this, it’s exciting to have people following along and taking an interest in what I’m creating.
Getting the artwork and the pages to feel cohesive has probably been one of my favorite parts. There have been plenty of moments where I knew what I wanted but couldn’t quite get it there. Now I can look through the site and see the world I was trying to build, which makes all the fussing over the details feel worth it.
Starlight & Stories gives me somewhere to share more of myself, too. There’s room for motherhood and autism family life, late-night thoughts, creative projects, memories, and the funny little things I don’t want to forget. The Apothecary Gazette has its own corner for practical magick, spiritual interests, folklore, and whatever subject sends me down the next research rabbit hole. I’m looking forward to seeing what ends up on these shelves now that I can actually use them.
Somehow, I’ve been working on books too
I’ve nearly completed the editing of Rifts: Volume I: The Tilted Road, and I’ve started a new book called An Atlas for the Unlost. Between those and the website work, there has been a lot going on behind the screen. I’m excited to be making progress on the books alongside everything else, even if my list of projects does occasionally look like I’ve forgotten there are only so many hours in a day.
I’ve also created a series of digital documents and other goodies to go with this world that’s growing out of my original ideas. There’s more to share about those as things come together, but I’m happy to have made it this far into the overall grand scheme. I’ve spent so long planning parts of this that being able to see how much is finished is a pretty big deal for me.
What’s left, and what can wait
The next thing I need to decide is when to bring back Cosmic Fusion Market and The Circle of Keys ambassador program. One thing I have decided, when I bring it back, it will not an MLM,. I’m still working out the timing for both, so I’m not attaching a date to either one yet.
Must-Haves with Autumn will also get a few updates to accommodate the new areas and make everything easier to move between. Once that’s taken care of, I’m planning to take a break. I’d like to spend some time writing, sharing what I’ve made, and enjoying the work that’s already done before I decide to rebuild another entire corner of the internet.
The Midnight Study and Yssaveth are still part of the plan. They’ll get the time and attention they need when I’m ready to fully plan and redo them. I’m excited about those projects, but I’m also excited about getting to this point, and I want to give myself a minute to appreciate it.
For now, welcome to Starlight & Stories. I’m so happy to finally have this space ready, and I can’t wait to start filling it with the stories, updates, and assorted nonsense that brought me here in the first place. If you’ve been following along while I figure all of this out, thank you. It means a lot to have you here while my little world comes together. 💜
